The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail passes through a portion of Algoma Township which is located in northern Kent County.

Algoma Township has four township parks, one of which is Trestle Park that adjoins the Trail north of Rockford.  This park is a great stopping place as there is a pit toilet and several picnic tables along with two overlooks to view Stegman Creek and the stone trestle / tunnel which the trail uses to cross Stegman Creek.

There is an excellent sports park on the same parcel of land where the township offices are located.

The “Friends” have had a long and excellent relationship with Algoma Township where we have several of our regular monthly meetings through-out the year.  We are very fortunate to have such great partners!
