Howard City

The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail passes through Howard City.

Howard City has made great improvements to their community that are directly and indirectly of benefit to the trail users.

Howard City paved approximately ½ mile of the trail within the city limits; this project was assisted with funds from the Meijer Foundation.

An excellent staging area was constructed next to the old railroad depot on the trail with a pit toilet and asphalt parking area.  There is also a fire pit at the staging area where the winter users will find a nice warming fire opportunity!

Just north of the depot is a great new library.
