The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park passes through the community of Paris which is located nearly halfway between the communities of Big Rapids and Reed City along the old US 131 road also known as Federal Highway or possibly Northland drive.

The community of Paris has the remnants of a Michigan Department of Natural Resources fish hatchery which the trail passes through.

Adjoining the fish hatchery is a Mecosta County Park and Campground that also has a large staging area that services the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park.

There is a gas station / convenience store that also has ice cream.
