Sept. 9, 2009 Board Meeting & General Meeting
Friends Board Members Davy Heyboer, Rex Houseman, Mike Bowler, Tony Stachowiak, Ron Baker, Barb Rollins and Jack Richards met at the Plainfield Township offices.
Discussion Items:
- Engineering has started for trail paving from Cadillac to LeRoy
- The West River Bridge access walk is completed
- The Wagen memorial will be done when the Wolverine renovation takes place
- Mike Bowler will store the Friends equipment for the winter
- An upcoming email to the members will include a list of jobs that we need someone to undertake
- Tony Stachowiak reported on the Adopt a Trail program and the progress on the installation of the new picnic tables to be purchased with a donation from Wolverine Worldwide
- The board approved the final design for the new sign on the West River Drive overpass
- The chairman and one other board member will interview a recommended replacement treasurer
- The board approved a new newsletter policy - the email newsletter will be done as needed and a paper newsletter will be mailed to members once each year
A general meeting was held at 7:00 p.m. with 14 people present.
